Input: switch back to struct platform_driver::remove()
After commit 0edb555a65d1 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove() return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for platform drivers.
Convert all platform drivers below drivers/input/ to use .remove(), with the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As .remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer.
While touching these files, make indention of the struct initializer consistent in a few drivers.

Input: misc - use sizeof(*pointer) instead of sizeof(type)
It is preferred to use sizeof(*pointer) instead of sizeof(type) due to the type of the variable can change and one needs not change the former (unlike the latter). This patch has no effect on runtime behavior.

Input: max8997_haptic - convert to platform remove callback returning void
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove().
Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant.

Input: max8997_haptic - switch to DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() and pm_sleep_ptr()
SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() is deprecated as it requires explicit protection against unused function warnings. The new combination of pm_sleep_ptr() and DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() allows the compiler to see the functions, thus suppressing the warning, but still allowing the unused code to be removed. Thus also drop the __maybe_unused markings.

Input: max8997 - convert to modern way to get a reference to a PWM
pwm_request() isn't recommended to be used any more because it relies on global IDs for the PWM which comes with different difficulties.
The new way to do things is to find the right PWM using a reference from the platform device. (This can be created either using a device-tree or a platform lookup table, see e.g. commit 5a4412d4a82f ("ARM: pxa: tavorevb: Use PWM lookup table") how to do this.)
There are no in-tree users, so there are no other code locations that need adaption.

Call pwm_apply_args() just after requesting the PWM device so that the polarity and period are initialized according to the information provided in pwm_args.
This is an intermediate state, and pwm_apply_args() should be dropped as soon as the atomic PWM infrastructure is in place and the driver makes use of it.

Input: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to code getting copied from one driver to the next.
