And the issue seems to be that the corresponding devres group is not
allocated. Normally, devres_open_group() is called from
__hid_device_probe() but Hyper-V HID driver overrides 'hid_dev->driver'
with 'mousevsc_hid_driver' stub and basically re-implements
__hid_device_probe() by calling hid_parse() and hid_hw_start() but not
devres_open_group(). hid_device_probe() does not call __hid_device_probe()
for it. Later, when the driver is removed, hid_device_remove() calls
devres_release_group() as it doesn't check whether hdev->driver was
initially overridden or not.

The issue seems to be related to the commit 62c68e7cee33 ("HID: ensure
timely release of driver-allocated resources") but the commit itself seems
to be correct.

Fix the issue by dropping the 'hid_dev->driver' override and using
hid_register_driver()/hid_unregister_driver() instead. Alternatively, it
would have been possible to rely on the default handling but
HID_CONNECT_DEFAULT implies HID_CONNECT_HIDRAW and it doesn't seem to work
for mousevsc as-is.

HID: hyperv: avoid struct memcpy overrun warning

A previous patch addressed the fortified memcpy warning for most
builds, but I still see this one with gcc-9:

In file included from include/linux/string.h:254,
from drivers/hid/hid-hyperv.c:8:
In function 'fortify_memcpy_chk',
inlined from 'mousevsc_on_receive' at drivers/hid/hid-hyperv.c:272:3:
include/linux/fortify-string.h:583:4: error: call to '__write_overflow_field' declared with attribute warning: detected write beyond size of field (1st parameter); maybe use struct_group()? [-Werror=attribute-warning]
583 | __write_overflow_field(p_size_field, size);
| ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My guess is that the WARN_ON() itself is what confuses gcc, so it no
longer sees that there is a correct range check. Rework the code in a
way that helps readability and avoids the warning.

Drivers: hv: Make remove callback of hyperv driver void returned

Since commit fc7a6209d571 ("bus: Make remove callback return

make much sense for any bus based driver implementing remove

HID: hyperv: remove unused struct synthhid_msg

struct synthhid_msg was meant to be a generic representation of the
possible protocol messages sent through VMBus. In practice, only the
header is read and depending on the message type, a cast to the actual
type is done. Also, SYNTHHID_MAX_INPUT_REPORT_SIZE constant isn't used
which I suspect is a leftover from the refactoring made while this
driver was at the staging folder.

This patch removes struct synthhid_msg and refactor the code
accordingly.

HID: hyperv: Use VMBUS_RING_SIZE() for ringbuffer sizes

For a Hyper-V vmbus, the size of the ringbuffer has two requirements:

1) it has to take one PAGE_SIZE for the header

2) it has to be PAGE_SIZE aligned so that double-mapping can work

VMBUS_RING_SIZE() could calculate a correct ringbuffer size which
fulfills both requirements, therefore use it to make sure vmbus work
when PAGE_SIZE != HV_HYP_PAGE_SIZE (4K).

Note that since the argument for VMBUS_RING_SIZE() is the size of
payload (data part), so it will be minus 4k (the size of header when
PAGE_SIZE = 4k) than the original value to keep the ringbuffer total
size unchanged when PAGE_SIZE = 4k.

HID: hyperv: Add the support of hibernation

During the suspend process and resume process, if there is any mouse
event, there is a small chance the suspend and the resume process can be
aborted because of mousevsc_on_receive() -> pm_wakeup_hard_event().

This behavior can be avoided by disabling the Hyper-V mouse device as
a wakeup source:

echo disabled > /sys/bus/vmbus/drivers/hid_hyperv/XXX/power/wakeup
(XXX is the device's GUID).

Input: hyper-v - fix wakeup from suspend-to-idle

It makes little sense but still possible to put Hyper-V guests into
suspend-to-idle state. To wake them up two wakeup sources were registered
in the past: hyperv-keyboard and hid-hyperv. However, since
commit eed4d47efe95 ("ACPI / sleep: Ignore spurious SCI wakeups from
suspend-to-idle") pm_wakeup_event() from these devices is ignored. Switch
to pm_wakeup_hard_event() API as these devices are actually the only
possible way to wakeup Hyper-V guests.

Drivers: hv: remove HV_DRV_VERSION

Remove HV_DRV_VERSION, it has no meaning for upstream drivers.

Initially it was supposed to show the "Linux Integration Services"
version, now it is not in sync anymore with the out-of-tree drivers
available from the MSFT website.

The only place where a version string is still required is the KVP
command "IntegrationServicesVersion" which is handled by
tools/hv/hv_kvp_daemon.c. To satisfy such KVP request from the host pass
the current string to the daemon during KVP userland registration.
