There are cases when it is useful to use both ACPI and DTB provided by the bootloader, however in such cases we should make sure to prevent conflicts between the two. Namely, don't try to use DTB for SMP setup if ACPI is enabled.
Precisely, this prevents at least:
- incorrectly calling register_lapic_address(APIC_DEFAULT_PHYS_BASE) after the LAPIC was already successfully enumerated via ACPI, causing noisy kernel warnings and probably potential real issues as well
- failed IOAPIC setup in the case when IOAPIC is enumerated via mptable instead of ACPI (e.g. with acpi=noirq), due to mpparse_parse_smp_config() overridden by x86_dtb_parse_smp_config()

of/fdt: add dt_phys arg to early_init_dt_scan and early_init_dt_verify
__pa() is only intended to be used for linear map addresses and using it for initial_boot_params which is in fixmap for arm64 will give an incorrect value. Hence save the physical address when it is known at boot time when calling early_init_dt_scan for arm64 and use it at kexec time instead of converting the virtual address using __pa().
Note that arm64 doesn't need the FDT region reserved in the DT as the kernel explicitly reserves the passed in FDT. Therefore, only a debug warning is fixed with this change.

x86_of_pci_irq_enable() returns PCIBIOS_* code received from pci_read_config_byte() directly and also -EINVAL which are not compatible error types. x86_of_pci_irq_enable() is used as (*pcibios_enable_irq) function which should not return PCIBIOS_* codes.
Convert the PCIBIOS_* return code from pci_read_config_byte() into normal errno using pcibios_err_to_errno().

Fetching the device tree configuration before initmem_init() is necessary to allow the parsing of NUMA node information. However moving the entire x86_dtb_init() call before initmem_init() is not correct as APIC/IO-APIC enumeration has to be after initmem_init().
Thus, move the x86_flattree_get_config() call out of x86_dtb_init(), into setup_arch(), to call it before initmem_init(), and leave the ACPI/IOAPIC registration sequence as-is.

If that succeeds then dtb_lapic_setup() registers the local APIC again eventually with a different address.
Rewrite the code so that it only registers it once.

Presently, init/boot time interrupt delivery mode is enumerated only for ACPI enabled systems by parsing MADT table or for older systems by parsing MP table. But for OF based x86 systems, it is assumed & hardcoded to be legacy PIC mode. This causes a boot time crash for platforms which do not provide a 8259 compliant legacy PIC.
Add support for configuration of init time interrupt delivery mode for x86 OF based systems by introducing a new optional boolean property 'intel,virtual-wire-mode' for the local APIC interrupt-controller node. This property emulates IMCRP Bit 7 of MP feature info byte 2 of MP floating pointer structure.
Defaults to legacy PIC mode if absent. Configures it to virtual wire compatibility mode if present.

vmlinux.o: warning: objtool: early_init_dt_scan_memory+0x191: unreachable instruction
when CONFIG_OF=y.
Indeed, early_init_dt_scan() is not used on x86 and making it compile (with help of CONFIG_OF) will abrupt the code flow since in the middle of it there is a BUG() instruction.
Remove the pointless function.

The ioapic interrupt type table is wrong as it assumes that polarity in IO/APIC context means active high when set. But the IO/APIC polarity is working the other way round. This works because the ordering of the entries is consistent with the device tree and the type information is not used by the IO/APIC interrupt chip.
The whole trigger and polarity business of IO/APIC is misleading and the corresponding constants which are defined as 0/1 are not used consistently and are going to be removed.
Rename the type table members to 'is_level' and 'active_low' and adjust the type information for consistency sake.
No functional change.

x86/headers: Fix -Wmissing-prototypes warning
When building the kernel with W=1 we get a lot of -Wmissing-prototypes warnings, which are trivial in nature and easy to fix - and which may mask some real future bugs if the prototypes get out of sync with the function definition.
This patch fixes most of -Wmissing-prototypes warnings which are in the root directory of arch/x86/kernel, not including the subdirectories.

IRQ parameters for the SoC devices connected directly to I/O APIC lines (without PCI IRQ routing) may be specified in the Device Tree.
Called from DT IRQ parser, irq_create_fwspec_mapping() calls irq_domain_alloc_irqs() with a pointer to irq_fwspec structure as @arg.
But x86-specific DT IRQ allocation code casts @arg to of_phandle_args structure pointer and crashes trying to read the IRQ parameters. The function was not converted when the mapping descriptor was changed to irq_fwspec in the generic irqdomain code.
