Commit 683eab94da75bc ("powerpc/fadump: setup additional parameters for dump capture kernel") introduced the additional parameter feature in fadump for HASH MMU with the understanding that GRUB does not use the memory area between 640MB and 768MB for its operation.
However, the third patch ("powerpc: increase MIN RMA size for CAS negotiation") in this series is changing the MIN RMA size to 768MB, allowing GRUB to use memory up to 768MB. This makes the fadump reservation for the additional parameter feature for HASH MMU unreliable.
To address this, export the MIN_RMA so that the next patch ("powerpc/fadump: fix additional param memory reservation for HASH MMU") can identify the correct memory range for the additional parameter feature in fadump for HASH MMU.

As powermacs boot via prom_init it's possible to add the missing properties to the device tree during boot, avoiding the warning. Note that `escc-legacy` nodes are also missing `#size-cells` properties, but they are skipped by the macio driver, so leave them alone.

It was later used for IBM JS20/JS21 machines, as well as the Bimini machine, aka "Yellow Dog Powerstation".
Sadly all those machines have passed into memory, and there's been no evidence for years that anyone is still using any of them.
Remove the platform and related code. It can always be reinstated if there's interest.
Note that this has no impact on support for 970FX based Power Macs.

The value specified for the memory limit is used to set a restriction on memory usage. It is important to ensure that this restriction is within the linear map kernel address space range. The hash page table translation uses a 16MB page size to map the kernel linear map address space. htab_bolt_mapping() function aligns down the size of the range while mapping kernel linear address space. Since the memblock limit is enforced very early during boot, before we can detect the type of memory translation (radix vs hash), we align the memory limit value specified as a kernel parameter to 16MB. This alignment value will work for both hash and radix translations.

CPU, MMU and user (ELF_HWCAP) features are unchanged vs P10. However userspace can detect P11 because the AT_PLATFORM value changes to "power11".
The logical PVR value of 0x0F000007, passed to firmware via the ibm_arch_vec, indicates the kernel can support a P11 compatible CPU, which means at least ISA v3.1 compliant.

But with CONFIG_GCC_PLUGIN_STRUCTLEAK_BYREF_ALL, the compiler adds calls to memset() to clear objects on stack, hence the following failure:

When we boot from open firmware (OF) using PPC_OF_BOOT_TRAMPOLINE, aka. prom_init, we run parts of the kernel at an address other than the link address. That happens because OF loads the kernel above zero (OF is at zero) and we run prom_init before copying the kernel down to zero.
Currently that works even for non-relocatable kernels, because we do various fixups to the prom_init code to make it run where it's loaded.
However those fixups are not sufficient if the kernel becomes large enough. In that case prom_init()'s final call to __start() can end up generating a plt branch:

That results in the kernel jumping to the linked address of __start, 0xc000000000000000, when really it needs to jump to the 0xc000000000000000 + the runtime address because the kernel is still running at the load address.
We could do further shenanigans to handle that, see Jordan's patch for example: https://lore.kernel.org/linuxppc-dev/[email protected]
However it is much simpler to just require a kernel with prom_init() to be built relocatable. The result works in all configurations without further work, and requires less code.
This should have no effect on most people, as our defconfigs and essentially all distro configs already have RELOCATABLE enabled.

When an interrupt is taken, the SRR registers are set to return to where it left off. Unless they are modified in the meantime, or the return address or MSR are modified, there is no need to reload these registers when returning from interrupt.
Introduce per-CPU flags that track the validity of SRR and HSRR registers. These are cleared when returning from interrupt, when using the registers for something else (e.g., OPAL calls), when adjusting the return address or MSR of a context, and when context switching (which changes the return address and MSR).
This improves the performance of interrupt returns.

An ASCII character formatted null terminated string that describes the client operating system. The string shall be human readable and may be displayed on the console.
The string can be up to 256 bytes total, including the nul terminator.
linux_banner contains lots of information, and should make it possible to identify the exact kernel version that is running:

Currently we have a strcpy() implementation with only one caller, so convert it into strscpy_pad() and update the caller.

powerpc/prom: Fix "ibm,arch-vec-5-platform-support" scan
The "ibm,arch-vec-5-platform-support" property is a list of pairs of bytes representing the options and values supported by the platform firmware. At boot time, Linux scans this list and activates the available features it recognizes : Radix and XIVE.
A recent change modified the number of entries to loop on and 8 bytes, 4 pairs of { options, values } entries are always scanned. This is fine on KVM but not on PowerVM which can advertises less. As a consequence on this platform, Linux reads extra entries pointing to random data, interprets these as available features and tries to activate them, leading to a firmware crash in ibm,client-architecture-support.
Fix that by using the property length of "ibm,arch-vec-5-platform-support".
