18899f91aSantirezCreate-custer is a small script used to easily start a big number of Redis
28899f91aSantirezinstances configured to run in cluster mode. Its main goal is to allow manual
38899f91aSantireztesting in a condition which is not easy to replicate with the Redis cluster
48899f91aSantirezunit tests, for example when a lot of instances are needed in order to trigger
58899f91aSantireza give bug.
68899f91aSantirez
78899f91aSantirezThe tool can also be used just to easily create a number of instances in a
88899f91aSantirezRedis Cluster in order to experiment a bit with the system.

138899f91aSantirezTo create a cluster, follow this steps:
148899f91aSantirez
158899f91aSantirez1. Edit create-cluster and change the start / end port, depending on the
168899f91aSantireznumber of instances you want to create.
178899f91aSantirez2. Use "./create-cluster start" in order to run the instances.
188899f91aSantirez3. Use "./create-cluster create" in order to execute redis-trib create, so that
198899f91aSantirezan actual Redis cluster will be created.
208899f91aSantirez4. Now you are ready to play with the cluster. AOF files and logs for each instances are created in the current directory.

228899f91aSantirezIn order to stop a cluster:
238899f91aSantirez
248899f91aSantirez1. Use "./craete-cluster stop" to stop all the instances. After you stopped the instances you can use "./create-cluster start" to restart them if you change ideas.
258899f91aSantirez2. Use "./create-cluster clean" to remove all the AOF / log files to restat with a clean environment.
