<description>[llvm-readobj] Update tests because of changes in llvm-readobj behaviorThis patch updates tests using llvm-readobj and llvm-readelf, becausesoon reading from stdin will be achievable only via a &apos;-&apos; as describedhere: https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46400. Patch with changes tollvm-readobj behavior is here: https://reviews.llvm.org/D83704Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D83912Reviewed by: jhenderson, MaskRay, grimar

<description>[llvm-readobj] Change -long-option to --long-option in tests. NFCWe use both -long-option and --long-option in tests. Switch to --long-option for consistency. In the &quot;llvm-readelf&quot; mode, -long-option is discouraged as it conflicts with grouped short options and it is not accepted by GNU readelf. While updating the tests, change llvm-readobj -s to llvm-readobj -S to reduce confusion (&quot;s&quot; is --section-headers in llvm-readobj but --symbols in llvm-readelf).llvm-svn: 359649

<title>5a5ac657 - [MC] Always emit relocations for same-section function references</title>
        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/llvm-project-15.0.7/llvm/test/MC/COFF/diff.s#5a5ac657</link>
<description>[MC] Always emit relocations for same-section function referencesSummary:We already emit relocations in this case when the &quot;incremental linkercompatible&quot; flag is set, but it turns out these relocations are alsorequired for /guard:cf. Now that we have two use cases for thisbehavior, let&apos;s make it unconditional to try to keep things simple. We never hit this problem in Clang because it always sets the&quot;incremental linker compatible&quot; flag when targeting MSVC. However, LLDLTO doesn&apos;t set this flag, so we&apos;d get CFG failures at runtime whenusing ThinLTO and /guard:cf. We probably don&apos;t want LLD LTO to set the&quot;incremental linker compatible&quot; assembler flag, since this has nothingto do with incremental linking, and we don&apos;t need to timestamp LTOtemporary objects.Fixes PR36624.Reviewers: inglorion, espindola, majnemerSubscribers: mehdi_amini, llvm-commits, hiradityaDifferential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D44485llvm-svn: 327557

        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/llvm-project-15.0.7/llvm/test/MC/COFF/diff.s#d2edd137</link>
<description>Change creation of relative relocations on COFF.For whatever reason, when processing .globl foofoo: .databar: .long foo-barllvm-mc creates a relocation with the section:0x0 IMAGE_REL_I386_REL32 .textThis is different than when the relocation is relative from thebeginning. For example, a file withcall fooproduces0x0 IMAGE_REL_I386_REL32 fooI would like to refactor the logic for converting &quot;foo - .&quot; into arelative relocation so that it is shared with ELF. This is the firststep and just changes the coff implementation to match what ELF (andCOFF in the case of calls) does.llvm-svn: 306063
