        <description>Re-apply &quot;[lli] Make -jit-kind=orc the default JIT engine&quot;MCJIT served well as the default JIT engine in lli for a long time, but the code is getting old and maintenance efforts don&apos;t seem to be in sight. In the meantime Orc became mature enough to fill that gap. The newly added greddy mode is very similar to the execution model of MCJIT. It should work as a drop-in replacement for common JIT tasks.Reviewed By: lhamesDifferential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D98931

        <title>a51c6ed6 - Introduce llvm::sys::getProcessTriple() function.</title>
        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/llvm-project-15.0.7/llvm/test/ExecutionEngine/MCJIT/test-constantexpr.ll#a51c6ed6</link>
        <description>Introduce llvm::sys::getProcessTriple() function.In r143502, we renamed getHostTriple() to getDefaultTargetTriple()as part of work to allow the user to supply a different defaulttarget triple at configure time. This change also affected the JIT.However, it is inappropriate to use the default target triple in theJIT in most circumstances because this will not necessarily matchthe current architecture used by the process, leading to illegalinstruction and other such errors at run time.Introduce the getProcessTriple() function for use in the JIT andits clients, and cause the JIT to use it. On architectures with asingle bitness, the host and process triples are identical. On otherarchitectures, the host triple represents the architecture of thehost CPU, while the process triple represents the architecture usedby the host CPU to interpret machine code within the current process.For example, when executing 32-bit code on a 64-bit Linux machine,the host triple may be &apos;x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu&apos;, while the processtriple may be &apos;i386-unknown-linux-gnu&apos;.This fixes JIT for the 32-on-64-bit (and vice versa) build on non-Appleplatforms.Differential Revision: http://llvm-reviews.chandlerc.com/D254llvm-svn: 172627

        <description>Support for generating ELF objects on Windows.This adds &apos;elf&apos; as a recognized target triple environment value and overrides the default generated object format on Windows platforms if that value is present. This patch also enables MCJIT tests on Windows using the new environment value.llvm-svn: 165030
