[libc++] Enable <atomic> when threads are disabledstd::atomic is, for the most part, just a thin veneer on top of compilerbuiltins. Hence, it should be available even when threads are not availableon the system, and in fact there has been requests for such support.This patch:- Moves __libcpp_thread_poll_with_backoff to its own header so it can be used in <atomic> when threads are disabled.- Adds a dummy backoff policy for atomic polling that doesn't know about threads.- Adjusts the <atomic> feature-test macros so they are provided even when threads are disabled.- Runs the <atomic> tests when threads are disabled.rdar://77873569Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D114109

2df59c50 - Support tests in freestanding

Support tests in freestandingSummary:Freestanding is *weird*. The standard allows it to differ in a bunch of oddmanners from regular C++, and the committee would like to improve thatsituation. I'd like to make libc++ behave better with what freestanding shouldbe, so that it can be a tool we use in improving the standard. To do that weneed to try stuff out, both with "freestanding the language mode" and"freestanding the library subset".Let's start with the super basic: run the libc++ tests in freestanding, usingclang as the compiler, and see what works. The easiest hack to do this:In utils/libcxx/test/config.py add: self.cxx.compile_flags += ['-ffreestanding']Run the tests and they all fail.Why? Because in freestanding `main` isn't special. This "not special" propertyhas two effects: main doesn't get mangled, and main isn't allowed to omit its`return` statement. The first means main gets mangled and the linker can'tcreate a valid executable for us to test. The second means we spew out warnings(ew) and the compiler doesn't insert the `return` we omitted, and main justfalls of the end and does whatever undefined behavior (if you're luck, ud2leading to non-zero return code).Let's start my work with the basics. This patch changes all libc++ tests todeclare `main` as `int main(int, char**` so it mangles consistently (enabling usto declare another `extern "C"` main for freestanding which calls the mangledone), and adds `return 0;` to all places where it was missing. This touches 6124files, and I apologize.The former was done with The Magic Of Sed.The later was done with a (not quite correct but decent) clang tool: https://gist.github.com/jfbastien/793819ff360baa845483dde81170feedThis works for most tests, though I did have to adjust a few places when e.g.the test runs with `-x c`, macros are used for main (such as for the filesystemtests), etc.Once this is in we can create a freestanding bot which will prevent furtherregressions. After that, we can start the real work of supporting C++freestanding fairly well in libc++.<rdar://problem/47754795>Reviewers: ldionne, mclow.lists, EricWFSubscribers: christof, jkorous, dexonsmith, arphaman, miyuki, libcxx-commitsDifferential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D57624llvm-svn: 353086

Update more file headers across all of the LLVM projects in the monorepoto reflect the new license. These used slightly different spellings thatdefeated my regular expressions.We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the headerentirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with theFoundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach.Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVMproject under our new license, so you will see that the license headersinclude that license only. Some of our contributors have contributedcode under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy ofour old license notice in the top-level files in each project andrepository.llvm-svn: 351648

Fix various undefined behavior found by UBSan.* Fix non-null violation in strstream.cpp Overflow was calling memcpy with a null parameter and a size of 0.* Fix std/atomics/atomics.flag/ tests: a.test_and_set() was reading from an uninitialized atomic, but wasn't using the value. The tests now clear the flag before performing the first test_and_set. This allows UBSAN to test that clear doesn't read an invalid value.* Fix std/experimental/algorithms/alg.random.sample/sample.pass.cpp The tests were dereferencing a past-the-end pointer to an array so that they could do pointer arithmetic with it. Instead of dereference the iterator I changed the tests to use the special 'base()' test iterator method.* Add -fno-sanitize=float-divide-by-zero to suppress division by zero UBSAN diagnostics. The tests that cause float division by zero are explicitly aware that they are doing that. Since this is well defined for IEEE floats suppress the warnings for now.llvm-svn: 273107

749adeba - [libcxx] Allow use of <atomic> in C++03. Try 3.

[libcxx] Allow use of <atomic> in C++03. Try 3.Summary:After putting this question up on cfe-dev I have decided that it would be best to allow the use of `<atomic>` in C++03. Although static initialization is a concern the syntax required to get it is C++11 only. Meaning that C++11 constant static initialization cannot silently break in C++03, it will always cause a syntax error. Furthermore `ATOMIC_VAR_INIT` and `ATOMIC_FLAG_INIT` remain defined in C++03 even though they cannot be used because C++03 usages will cause better error messages.The main change in this patch is to replace `__has_feature(cxx_atomic)`, which only returns true when C++ >= 11, to `__has_extension(c_atomic)` which returns true whenever clang supports the required atomic builtins.This patch adds the following macros:* `_LIBCPP_HAS_C_ATOMIC_IMP` - Defined on clang versions which provide the C `_Atomic` keyword.* `_LIBCPP_HAS_GCC_ATOMIC_IMP` - Defined on GCC > 4.7. We must use the fallback atomic implementation.* `_LIBCPP_HAS_NO_ATOMIC_HEADER` - Defined when it is not safe to include `<atomic>`.`_LIBCPP_HAS_C_ATOMIC_IMP` and `_LIBCPP_HAS_GCC_ATOMIC_IMP` are mutually exclusive, only one should be defined. If neither is defined then `<atomic>` is not implemented and including `<atomic>` will issue an error.Reviewers: chandlerc, jroelofs, mclow.listsSubscribers: cfe-commitsDifferential Revision: http://reviews.llvm.org/D11555llvm-svn: 245463
