net: sched: Annotate struct tc_pedit with __counted_byPrepare for the coming implementation by GCC and Clang of the __counted_byattribute. Flexible array members annotated with __counted_by can havetheir accesses bounds-checked at run-time checking via CONFIG_UBSAN_BOUNDS(for array indexing) and CONFIG_FORTIFY_SOURCE (for strcpy/memcpy-familyfunctions).As found with Coccinelle[1], add __counted_by for struct tc_pedit.Additionally, since the element count member must be set before accessingthe annotated flexible array member, move its initialization earlier.Link: https://github.com/kees/kernel-tools/blob/trunk/coccinelle/examples/counted_by.cocci [1]Signed-off-by: Kees Cook <keescook@chromium.org>Reviewed-by: Gustavo A.
net: Move all TC actions identifiers to one placeMove all the TC identifiers to one place, to the same enum that definesthe identifier of police action. This makes it easier choose numbers fornew actions since they are now defined in one place. We preserve theoriginal values for binary compatibility. New IDs should be added insidethe enum.Signed-off-by: Eli Cohen <eli@mellanox.com>Acked-by: Jiri Pirko <jiri@mellanox.com>Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

6f52b16c - License cleanup: add SPDX license identifier to uapi header files with no license

License cleanup: add SPDX license identifier to uapi header files with no licenseMany user space API headers are missing licensing information, whichmakes it hard for compliance tools to determine the correct license.By default are files without license information under the defaultlicense of the kernel, which is GPLV2. Marking them GPLV2 would excludethem from being included in non GPLV2 code, which is obviously notintended. The user space API headers fall under the syscall exceptionwhich is in the kernels COPYING file: NOTE! This copyright does *not* cover user programs that use kernel services by normal system calls - this is merely considered normal use of the kernel, and does *not* fall under the heading of "derived work".otherwise syscall usage would not be possible.Update the files which contain no license information with an SPDXlicense identifier. The chosen identifier is 'GPL-2.0 WITHLinux-syscall-note' which is the officially assigned identifier for theLinux syscall exception. SPDX license identifiers are a legally bindingshorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart andPhilippe Ombredanne. See the previous patch in this series for themethodology of how this patch was researched.Reviewed-by: Kate Stewart <kstewart@linuxfoundation.org>Reviewed-by: Philippe Ombredanne <pombredanne@nexb.com>Reviewed-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

net/act_pedit: Introduce 'add' operationThis command could be useful to inc/dec fields. For example, to forward any TCP packet and decrease its TTL:$ tc filter add dev enp0s9 protocol ip parent ffff: \ flower ip_proto tcp \ action pedit munge ip ttl add 0xff pipe \ action mirred egress redirect dev veth0In the example above, adding 0xff to this u8 field is actuallydecreasing it by one, since the operation is masked.Signed-off-by: Amir Vadai <amir@vadai.me>Reviewed-by: Or Gerlitz <ogerlitz@mellanox.com>Signed-off-by: David S.
71d0ed70 - net/act_pedit: Support using offset relative to the conventional network headers

net/act_pedit: Support using offset relative to the conventional network headersExtend pedit to enable the user setting offset relative to networkheaders. This change would enable to work with more complex headerschemes (vs the simple IPv4 case) where setting a fixed offset relativeto the network header is not enough. After this patch, the action has information about the exact header typeand field inside this header. This information could be used later onfor hardware offloading of pedit.Backward compatibility was being kept:1. Old kernel <-> new userspace2. New kernel <-> old userspace3. add rule using new userspace <-> dump using old userspace4. add rule using old userspace <-> dump using new userspaceWhen using the extended api, new netlink attributes are being used. Thisway, operation will fail in (1) and (3) - and no malformed rule be addedor dumped. Of course, new user space that doesn't need the newfunctionality can use the old netlink attributes and operation willsucceed.Since action can support both api's, (2) should work, and it is easy towrite the new user space to have (4) work. The action is having a strict check that only header types and commandsit can handle are accepted. This way future additions will be mucheasier.Usage example:$ tc filter add dev enp0s9 protocol ip parent ffff: \ flower \ ip_proto tcp \ dst_port 80 \ action pedit munge tcp dport set 8080 pipe \ action mirred egress redirect dev veth0Will forward tcp port whose original dest port is 80, while modifyingthe destination port to 8080.Signed-off-by: Amir Vadai <amir@vadai.me>Reviewed-by: Or Gerlitz <ogerlitz@mellanox.com>Signed-off-by: David S.
