usb: gadget: f_acm: make bInterfaceProtocol configurableThe bInterfaceProtocol is hardcoded to USB_CDC_ACM_PROTO_AT_V25TER. Thiswill lead to problems with ModemManger which will gladly try to probethat port as a modem if the gadget also has a network function.ModemManager will try to send AT commands to the ACM port. Make thebInterfaceProtocol configurable. For this, track the number of instancesand only allow write to the property if there are no intances (yet). This will also set bFunctionProtocol to the same value, see commit5c8db070b448 ("USB: Change acm_iad_descriptor bFunctionProtocol toUSB_CDC_ACM_PROTO_AT_V25TER") for more details.Signed-off-by: Michael Walle <mwalle@kernel.org>Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20240825180446.3757073-1-mwalle@kernel.orgSigned-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

usb: gadget: u_serial.h: increase MAX_U_SERIAL_PORTS to 8Mediatek's LTE modem needs up to 8 ports to connect to PC for loggingand debugging under some scenarios.
usb: gadget: u_serial: add suspend resume callbacksAdd suspend resume callbacks to handle the case seen when the bus issuspended by the HOST, and the device opens the port (cat /dev/ttyGS0).Gadget controller (like DWC2) doesn't accept usb requests to be queued inthis case (when in L2 state), from the gs_open() call. Error log is printed- configfs-gadget gadget: acm ttyGS0 can't notify serial state, -11If the HOST resumes (opens) the bus, the port still isn't functional.Use suspend/resume callbacks to monitor the gadget suspended state by using'suspended' flag. In case the port gets opened (cat /dev/ttyGS0), the I/Ostream will be delayed until the bus gets resumed by the HOST.Signed-off-by: Fabrice Gasnier <fabrice.gasnier@st.com>Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@kernel.org>

usb: gadget: u_serial: make OBEX port not a consolePrevent OBEX serial port from ever becoming a console.
USB: gadget: function: Remove redundant license textNow that the SPDX tag is in all USB files, that identifies the licensein a specific and legally-defined manner. So the extra GPL text wordingcan be removed as it is no longer needed at all. This is done on a quest to remove the 700+ different ways that files inthe kernel describe the GPL license text. And there's unneeded stufflike the address (sometimes incorrect) for the FSF which is neverneeded. No copyright headers or other non-license-description text was removed.Cc: Oliver Neukum <oneukum@suse.com>Cc: Johan Hovold <johan@kernel.org>Cc: Jerry Zhang <zhangjerry@google.com>Cc: John Keeping <john@metanate.com>Cc: Krzysztof Opasiak <k.opasiak@samsung.com>Cc: Abdulhadi Mohamed <abdulahhadi2@gmail.com>Cc: Matthew Wilcox <willy@linux.intel.com>Cc: Janusz Dziedzic <januszx.dziedzic@linux.intel.com>Acked-by: Felipe Balbi <felipe.balbi@linux.intel.com>Acked-by: Michal Nazarewicz <mina86@mina86.com>Acked-by: Laurent Pinchart <laurent.pinchart@ideasonboard.com>Acked-by: Vincent Pelletier <plr.vincent@gmail.com>Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

USB: add SPDX identifiers to all remaining files in drivers/usb/It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier toaudit the kernel tree for correct licenses.Update the drivers/usb/ and include/linux/usb* files with the correctSPDX license identifier based on the license text in the file itself. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be usedinstead of the full boiler plate text. This work is based on a script and data from Thomas Gleixner, PhilippeOmbredanne, and Kate Stewart.Cc: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>Cc: Kate Stewart <kstewart@linuxfoundation.org>Cc: Philippe Ombredanne <pombredanne@nexb.com>Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>Acked-by: Felipe Balbi <felipe.balbi@linux.intel.com>Acked-by: Johan Hovold <johan@kernel.org>Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
