USB: Use str_enable_disable-like helpersReplace ternary (condition ? "enable" : "disable") syntax with helpersfrom string_choices.h because:1. Simple function call with one argument is easier to read. Ternary operator has three arguments and with wrapping might lead to quite long code.2. Is slightly shorter thus also easier to read.3. It brings uniformity in the text - same string.4. Allows deduping by the linker, which results in a smaller binary file.Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org>Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20250114-str-enable-disable-usb-v1-6-c8405df47c19@linaro.orgSigned-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

usb: chipidea: Simplify Tegra DMA alignment codeThe USB host on Tegra3 works with 32-bit alignment. Previous code triedto align the buffer, but it did align the wrapper struct instead, sothe buffer was at a constant offset of 8 bytes (two pointers) fromexpected alignment. Since kmalloc() guarantees at least 8-bytealignment already, the alignment-extending is removed.Fixes: fc53d5279094 ("usb: chipidea: tegra: Support host mode")Signed-off-by: Michał Mirosław <mirq-linux@rere.qmqm.pl>Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/a0d917d492b1f91ee0019e68b8e8bca9c585393f.1695934946.git.mirq-linux@rere.qmqm.plSigned-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

usb: chipidea: add workaround for chipidea PEC bugSome NXP processors using ChipIdea USB IP have a bug when frame babble isdetected.Issue description:In USB camera test, our controller is host in HS mode. In ISOC IN, whendevice sends data across the micro frame, it causes the babble in hostcontroller. This will clear the PE bit. In spec, it also requires to setthe PEC bit and then set the PCI bit. Without the PCI interrupt, thesoftware does not know the PE is cleared. This will add a flag CI_HDRC_HAS_PORTSC_PEC_MISSED to some impactedplatform datas. And the ehci host driver will assert PEC by SW whenspecific conditions are satisfied.Signed-off-by: Xu Yang <xu.yang_2@nxp.com>Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20230809024432.535160-2-xu.yang_2@nxp.comSigned-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

usb: chipidea: Add dynamic pinctrl selectionSome hardware implementations require to configure pins differentlyaccording to the USB role (host/device), this can be an update of thepins routing or a simple GPIO value change. This patch introduces new optional "host" and "device" pinctrls. If these pinctrls are defined by the device, they are respectivelyselected on host/device role start. If a default pinctrl exist, it is restored on host/device role stop.Signed-off-by: Loic Poulain <loic.poulain@linaro.org>Signed-off-by: Peter Chen <peter.chen@nxp.com>

usb: add a flag to skip PHY initialization to struct usb_hcdThe USB HCD core driver parses the device-tree node for "phys" and"usb-phys" properties. It also manages the power state of these PHYsautomatically. However, drivers may opt-out of this behavior by setting "phy" or"usb_phy" in struct usb_hcd to a non-null value. An example where thisis required is the "Qualcomm USB2 controller", implemented by thechipidea driver. The hardware requires that the PHY is only powered onafter the "reset completed" event from the controller is received.A follow-up patch will allow the USB HCD core driver to manage more thanone PHY. Add a new "skip_phy_initialization" bitflag to struct usb_hcdso drivers can opt-out of any PHY management provided by the USB HCDcore driver. This also updates the existing drivers so they use the new flag if theywant to opt out of the PHY management provided by the USB HCD coredriver. This means that for these drivers the new "multiple PHY"handling (which will be added in a follow-up patch) will be disabled aswell.Signed-off-by: Martin Blumenstingl <martin.blumenstingl@googlemail.com>Acked-by: Peter Chen <peter.chen@nxp.com>Tested-by: Neil Armstrong <narmstrong@baylibre.con>Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

USB: chipidea: Remove redundant license textNow that the SPDX tag is in all USB files, that identifies the licensein a specific and legally-defined manner. So the extra GPL text wordingcan be removed as it is no longer needed at all. This is done on a quest to remove the 700+ different ways that files inthe kernel describe the GPL license text. And there's unneeded stufflike the address (sometimes incorrect) for the FSF which is neverneeded. No copyright headers or other non-license-description text was removed.Cc: Thierry Reding <thierry.reding@gmail.com>Cc: Jonathan Hunter <jonathanh@nvidia.com>Acked-by: Peter Chen <peter.chen@nxp.com>Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

USB: add SPDX identifiers to all remaining files in drivers/usb/It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier toaudit the kernel tree for correct licenses.Update the drivers/usb/ and include/linux/usb* files with the correctSPDX license identifier based on the license text in the file itself. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be usedinstead of the full boiler plate text. This work is based on a script and data from Thomas Gleixner, PhilippeOmbredanne, and Kate Stewart.Cc: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>Cc: Kate Stewart <kstewart@linuxfoundation.org>Cc: Philippe Ombredanne <pombredanne@nexb.com>Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>Acked-by: Felipe Balbi <felipe.balbi@linux.intel.com>Acked-by: Johan Hovold <johan@kernel.org>Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
