soc: bcm: brcmstb: Remove bare-metal ARM suspend/resume codeSince 2018 these platforms have supported entry via the ARM TrustedFirmware using the standard PSCI SYSTEM_SUSPEND function calls. Removethis legacy code.Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20230224215249.239405-1-f.fainelli@gmail.comSigned-off-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com>

ARM: 9263/1: use .arch directives instead of assembler command line flagsSimilar to commit a6c30873ee4a ("ARM: 8989/1: use .fpu assemblerdirectives instead of assembler arguments").GCC and GNU binutils support setting the "sub arch" via -march=,-Wa,-march, target function attribute, and .arch assembler directive.Clang was missing support for -Wa,-march=, but this was implemented inclang-13.The behavior of both GCC and Clang is toprefer -Wa,-march= over -march= for assembler and assembler-with-cppsources, but Clang will warn about the -march= being unused.clang: warning: argument unused during compilation: '-march=armv6k'[-Wunused-command-line-argument]Since most assembler is non-conditionally assembled with one sub arch(modulo arch/arm/delay-loop.S which conditionally is assembled as armv4based on CONFIG_ARCH_RPC, and arch/arm/mach-at91/pm-suspend.S which isconditionally assembled as armv7-a based on CONFIG_CPU_V7), prefer the.arch assembler directive.Add a few more instances found in compile testing as found by Arnd andNathan.Link: https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/commit/1d51c699b9e2ebc5bcfdbe85c74cc871426333d4Link: https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48894Link: https://github.com/ClangBuiltLinux/linux/issues/1195Link: https://github.com/ClangBuiltLinux/linux/issues/1315Suggested-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>Suggested-by: Nathan Chancellor <nathan@kernel.org>Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>Tested-by: Nathan Chancellor <nathan@kernel.org>Signed-off-by: Nick Desaulniers <ndesaulniers@google.com>Signed-off-by: Russell King (Oracle) <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk>

soc bcm: brcmstb: Add support for S2/S3/S5 suspend states (MIPS)This commit adds support for the Broadcom STB S2/S3/S5 suspendstates on MIPS based SoCs.This requires quite a lot of code in order to deal with thedifferent HW blocks that need to be quiesced during suspend:- DDR PHY- DDR memory controller and arbiter- control processorThe final steps of the suspend execute in cache and there is is a littlebit of assembly code in order to shut down the DDR PHY PLL and then gointo a wait loop until a wake-up even occurs. Conversely the resume partinvolves waiting for the DDR PHY PLL to come back up and resumeexecutions where we left.Signed-off-by: Justin Chen <justinpopo6@gmail.com>Signed-off-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com>

soc: bcm: brcmstb: Add support for S2/S3/S5 suspend states (ARM)This commit adds support for the Broadcom STB S2/S3/S5 suspend states onARM based SoCs.This requires quite a lot of code in order to deal with the different HWblocks that need to be quiesced during suspend:- DDR PHY SHIM- DDR memory controller and sequencer- control processorThe final steps of the suspend execute in an on-chip SRAM and there is alittle bit of assembly code in order to shut down the DDR PHY PLL andthen go into a wfi loop until a wake-up even occurs. Conversely theresume part involves waiting for the DDR PHY PLL to come back up andresume executions where we left. For S3, because of our memory hashing (actual hashing code not includedfor simplicity, and is bypassed) we need to relocate the writablevariables (stack) into SRAM shortly before suspending in order to leavethe DRAM untouched and create a reliable hash of its contents. This code has been contributed by Brian Norris initially and has beenincrementally fixed and updated to support new chips by a lot of people.Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>Signed-off-by: Markus Mayer <mmayer@broadcom.com>Signed-off-by: Justin Chen <justinpopo6@gmail.com>Signed-off-by: Gareth Powell <gpowell@broadcom.com>Signed-off-by: Doug Berger <opendmb@gmail.com>Signed-off-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com>
