mtd: chips: Use SPDX license headersSome of the files in mtd/chips do not have a SPDX licenseheader, presumably because the text string "GPL'd" didn'tparse with Thomas rulesets for magic license tagging.Fix this, the code is initially from RedHat which clearlytargeted the Linux kernel and intended it to be GPLv2.In any case the original author appears to be DavidWoodhouse who can then confirm this.Cc: David Woodhouse <dwmw2@infradead.org>Cc: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>Signed-off-by: Miquel Raynal <miquel.raynal@bootlin.com>Link: https://lore.kernel.org/linux-mtd/20230603185200.3571174-1-linus.walleij@linaro.org

mtd: map_rom: Support UBI on ROMUBI needs to know the physical erase block size, even on read-onlydevices, since it defines the on-device layout. Use a device-treeprovided value to support previously written UBI on read-only NOR.UBI also needs a non-zero writebufsize, so we set it to one.Note: This was implemented because hardware write-protected CFI NOR cannot be probed for the physical erase block size.Signed-off-by: Joe Schultz <jschultz@xes-inc.ccom>Signed-off-by: Aaron Sierra <asierra@xes-inc.ccom>[Brian: removed unneeded #ifdef, note 'optional' erase-size property]Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>

mtd: add leading underscore to all mtd functionsThis patch renames all MTD functions by adding a "_" prefix:mtd->erase -> mtd->_erasemtd->read_oob -> mtd->_read_oob...The reason is that we are re-working the MTD API and from now on it isan error to use MTD function pointers directly - we have a correspondingAPI call for every pointer. By adding a leading "_" we achieve the following:1. Make sure we convert every direct pointer users2. A leading "_" suggests that this interface is internal and it becomes less likely that people will use them directly3. Make sure all the out-of-tree modules stop compiling and the owners spot the big API change and amend them.Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <artem.bityutskiy@linux.intel.com>Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <David.Woodhouse@intel.com>

Linux-2.6.12-rc2Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" gitarchive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the earlygit days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of goodinfrastructure for it.Let it rip!
