<title>7cbd0a29 - Simplify building libpam and fix libpam.a not containing the modules since r284345.</title>
        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-14.2/lib/libpam/Makefile#7cbd0a29</link>
<description>Simplify building libpam and fix libpam.a not containing the modules since r284345.The change in r284345 moved the creation of openpam_static_modules.o tolib/libpam/static_modules but never managed to get them into libpam.a.Move this logic to lib/libpam/static_libpam and have it create a staticlibrary for libpam.a The main lib/libpam/libpam will only create ashared library. No redundancy in compilation or installation existsin this solution. This avoids requiring a pass with -D_NO_LIBPAM_SO_YET.Sponsored by:	EMC / Isilon Storage Division

<title>9a10bb17 - Build structure for contribified Linux-PAM, plus some home-grown</title>
        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-14.2/lib/libpam/Makefile#9a10bb17</link>
<description>Build structure for contribified Linux-PAM, plus some home-grownmodules for FreeBSD&apos;s standard authentication methods. Althoughthe Linux-PAM modules are present in the contrib tree, we don&apos;tuse any of them. The main library &quot;libpam&quot; is composed of sources taken from threeplaces. First are the standard Linux-PAM libpam sources from thecontrib tree. Second are the Linux-PAM &quot;libpam_misc&quot; sources, alsofrom the contrib tree. In Linux these form a separate library. But as Mike Smith pointed out to me, that seems pointless, so Ihave combined them into the libpam library. Third are some additionalsources from the &quot;src/lib/libpam&quot; tree with some common functionsthat make it easier to write modules. Those I wrote myself. This work has been donated to FreeBSD by Juniper Networks, Inc.
