        <description>NO_MAN= has been deprecated in favor of MAN= for some time, go aheadand finish the job. ncurses is now the only Makefile in the tree thatuses it since it wasn&apos;t a simple mechanical change, and will beaddressed in a future commit.

        <description>Add testing utility for behavior of atomic ops.This small utility performs a sequence of atomic operations with randomparameters on an atomic variable. For every type, we also create 16variables, to ensure that we test the correctness at differentalignments.
