<title>19d3b47b - sys/mips: further adoption of SPDX licensing ID tags.</title>

<description>sys/mips: further adoption of SPDX licensing ID tags.Mainly focus on files that use BSD 2-Clause license, however the tool Iwas using misidentified many licenses so this was mostly a manual - errorprone - task. The Software Package Data Exchange (SPDX) group provides a specificationto make it easier for automated tools to detect and summarize well knownopensource licenses. We are gradually adopting the specification, notingthat the tags are considered only advisory and do not, in any way, superceed or replace the license texts.

        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-12.1/sys/mips/include/_stdint.h#74dc547e</link>
<description>Make the wchar_t type machine dependent. This is required for ARM EABI. Section 7.1.1 of the Procedure Call for theARM Architecture (AAPCS) defines wchar_t as either an unsigned int or anunsigned short with the former preferred.Because of this requirement we need to move the definition of __wchar_t toa machine dependent header. It also cleans up the macros defining the limitsof wchar_t by defining __WCHAR_MIN and __WCHAR_MAX in the same machinedependent header then using them to define WCHAR_MIN and WCHAR_MAXrespectively.Discussed with:	bde

        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-12.1/sys/mips/include/_stdint.h#a56e818f</link>
<description>On mixed 32/64 bit architectures (mips, powerpc) use __LP64__ rather thanarchitecture macros (__mips_n64, __powerpc64__) when 64 bit types (andcorresponding macros) are different from 32 bit. [1]Correct the type of INT64_MIN, INT64_MAX and UINT64_MAX.Define (U)INTMAX_C as an alias for (U)INT64_C matching the type definitionfor (u)intmax_t. Do this on all architectures for consistency.Suggested by:	bde [1]Approved by:	kib (mentor)

        <title>45d426a3 - FreeBSD/mips port. The FreeBSD/mips port targets mips32, mips64,</title>
        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-12.1/sys/mips/include/_stdint.h#45d426a3</link>
<description>FreeBSD/mips port. The FreeBSD/mips port targets mips32, mips64,mips32r2 and mips64r2 (and close relatives) processors. Therepresently is support for ADMtek ADM5120, A mips 4Kc in a malta board, the RB533 routerboard (based on IDT RC32434) and some preliminarysupport for sibtye/broadcom designs. Other hardware support will beforthcomcing. This port boots multiuser under gxemul emulating the malta board andalso bootstraps on the hardware whose support is forthcoming...Oleksandr Tymoshenko, Wojciech Koszek, Warner Losh, Olivier Houchard,Randall Stewert and others that have contributed to the mips2 and/ormips2-jnpr perforce branches. Juniper contirbuted a generic mips portlate in the life cycle of the misp2 branch. Warner Losh merged themips2 and Juniper code bases, and others list above have worked forthe past several months to get to multiuser. In addition, the mips2 work owe a debt to the trail blazing efforts ofthe original mips branch in perforce done by Juli Mallett.
