<description>Revert drm2 removal.Revert r338177, r338176, r338175, r338174, r338172After long consultations with re@, core members and mmacy, revertthese changes. Followup changes will be made to mark them asdeprecated and prent a message about where to find the up-to-datedriver. Followup commits will be made to make this clear in theinstaller. Followup commits to reduce POLA in ways we&apos;re stillexploring. It&apos;s anticipated that after the freeze, this will be removed in13-current (with the residual of the drm2 code copied tosys/arm/dev/drm2 for the TEGRA port&apos;s use w/o the intel orradeon drivers).Due to the impending freeze, there was no formal core vote forthis. I&apos;ve been talking to different core members all day, as well asMatt Macey and Glen Barber. Nobody is completely happy, all aregrudgingly going along with this. Work is in progress to mitigatethe negative effects as much as possible.Requested by: re@ (gjb, rgrimes)

        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-12.1/sys/dev/drm2/drm_sysctl.c#455fa651</link>
<description>drm: Update the device-independent code to match Linux 3.8.13This update brings few features: o Support for the setmaster/dropmaster ioctls. For instance, they are used to run multiple X servers simultaneously. o Support for minor devices. The only user-visible change is a new entry in /dev/dri but it is useless at the moment. This is a first step to support render nodes [1].The main benefit is to greatly reduce the diff with Linux (at theexpense of an unreadable commit diff). Hopefully, next upgrades will beeasier. No updates were made to the drivers, beside adapting them to APIchanges.[1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_Rendering_Manager#Render_nodesTested by:	Many peopleMFC after:	1 monthRelnotes:	yes

<title>3da1cf1e - Extend the meaning of the CTLFLAG_TUN flag to automatically check if</title>
        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-12.1/sys/dev/drm2/drm_sysctl.c#3da1cf1e</link>
<description>Extend the meaning of the CTLFLAG_TUN flag to automatically check ifthere is an environment variable which shall initialize the SYSCTLduring early boot. This works for all SYSCTL types both statically anddynamically created ones, except for the SYSCTL NODE type and SYSCTLswhich belong to VNETs. A new flag, CTLFLAG_NOFETCH, has been added tobe used in the case a tunable sysctl has a custom initialisationfunction allowing the sysctl to still be marked as a tunable. Thekernel SYSCTL API is mostly the same, with a few exceptions for somespecial operations like iterating childrens of a static/extern SYSCTLnode. This operation should probably be made into a factored outcommon macro, hence some device drivers use this. The reason forchanging the SYSCTL API was the need for a SYSCTL parent OID pointerand not only the SYSCTL parent OID list pointer in order to quicklygenerate the sysctl path. The motivation behind this patch is to avoidparameter loading cludges inside the OFED driver subsystem. Instead ofadding special code to the OFED driver subsystem to post-load tunablesinto dynamically created sysctls, we generalize this in the kernel.Other changes:- Corrected a possibly incorrect sysctl name from &quot;hw.cbb.intr_mask&quot;to &quot;hw.pcic.intr_mask&quot;.- Removed redundant TUNABLE statements throughout the kernel.- Some minor code rewrites in connection to removing not neededTUNABLE statements.- Added a missing SYSCTL_DECL().- Wrapped two very long lines.- Avoid malloc()/free() inside sysctl string handling, in case it iscalled to initialize a sysctl from a tunable, hence malloc()/free() isnot ready when sysctls from the sysctl dataset are registered.- Bumped FreeBSD version to indicate SYSCTL API change.MFC after:	2 weeksSponsored by:	Mellanox Technologies
