<description>Revert drm2 removal.Revert r338177, r338176, r338175, r338174, r338172After long consultations with re@, core members and mmacy, revertthese changes. Followup changes will be made to mark them asdeprecated and prent a message about where to find the up-to-datedriver. Followup commits will be made to make this clear in theinstaller. Followup commits to reduce POLA in ways we&apos;re stillexploring. It&apos;s anticipated that after the freeze, this will be removed in13-current (with the residual of the drm2 code copied tosys/arm/dev/drm2 for the TEGRA port&apos;s use w/o the intel orradeon drivers).Due to the impending freeze, there was no formal core vote forthis. I&apos;ve been talking to different core members all day, as well asMatt Macey and Glen Barber. Nobody is completely happy, all aregrudgingly going along with this. Work is in progress to mitigatethe negative effects as much as possible.Requested by: re@ (gjb, rgrimes)

<title>3da1cf1e - Extend the meaning of the CTLFLAG_TUN flag to automatically check if</title>
        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-12.1/sys/dev/drm/drm_sysctl.c#3da1cf1e</link>
<description>Extend the meaning of the CTLFLAG_TUN flag to automatically check ifthere is an environment variable which shall initialize the SYSCTLduring early boot. This works for all SYSCTL types both statically anddynamically created ones, except for the SYSCTL NODE type and SYSCTLswhich belong to VNETs. A new flag, CTLFLAG_NOFETCH, has been added tobe used in the case a tunable sysctl has a custom initialisationfunction allowing the sysctl to still be marked as a tunable. Thekernel SYSCTL API is mostly the same, with a few exceptions for somespecial operations like iterating childrens of a static/extern SYSCTLnode. This operation should probably be made into a factored outcommon macro, hence some device drivers use this. The reason forchanging the SYSCTL API was the need for a SYSCTL parent OID pointerand not only the SYSCTL parent OID list pointer in order to quicklygenerate the sysctl path. The motivation behind this patch is to avoidparameter loading cludges inside the OFED driver subsystem. Instead ofadding special code to the OFED driver subsystem to post-load tunablesinto dynamically created sysctls, we generalize this in the kernel.Other changes:- Corrected a possibly incorrect sysctl name from &quot;hw.cbb.intr_mask&quot;to &quot;hw.pcic.intr_mask&quot;.- Removed redundant TUNABLE statements throughout the kernel.- Some minor code rewrites in connection to removing not neededTUNABLE statements.- Added a missing SYSCTL_DECL().- Wrapped two very long lines.- Avoid malloc()/free() inside sysctl string handling, in case it iscalled to initialize a sysctl from a tunable, hence malloc()/free() isnot ready when sysctls from the sysctl dataset are registered.- Bumped FreeBSD version to indicate SYSCTL API change.MFC after:	2 weeksSponsored by:	Mellanox Technologies

        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-12.1/sys/dev/drm/drm_sysctl.c#4cd2e958</link>
<description>resync to git masterThis reverts a private patch which is causing issues with many Intel chipsets.I will review that patch and see what we need to do to fix it up later, butfor the time being, we will just get these chips working again. This update contains a lot of code cleanup and is post gem merge(no, we don&apos;t have gem support). It should prove much easier to read thecode now. A lot of thanks goes to vehemens for that work. I have adaptedthe code to use cdevpriv for tracking per open file data. That alleviatesthe old ugly hack that we used to try and accomplish the task and helped toclean up the open / close behavior a good bit. This also replaces the hackthat was put in place a year or so ago to prevent radeons from locking upwith AIGLX enabled. I have had a couple of radeon testers report that itstill works as expected, though I no longer have radeon hardware to test withmyself. Other various fixes from the linux crew and Intel, many ofwhich are muddled in with the gem merge.Approved by:	jhb (mentor)Obtained from:	mesa/drm git masterMFC after:	2 weeks

<description>Update DRM to CVS snapshot as of 2005-11-28. Notable changes:- S3 Savage driver ported.- Added support for ATI_fragment_shader registers for r200.- Improved r300 support, needed for latest r300 DRI driver.- (possibly) r300 PCIE support, needs X.Org server from CVS.- Added support for PCI Matrox cards.- Software fallbacks fixed for Rage 128, which used to render badly or hang.- Some issues reported by WITNESS are fixed.- i915 module Makefile added, as the driver may now be working, but is untested.- Added scripts for copying and preprocessing DRM CVS for inclusion in the kernel. Thanks to Daniel Stone for getting me started on that.

<description>Update to DRM CVS as of 2005-04-12, bringing many changes:- Split core DRM routines back into their own module, rather than using the nasty templated system like before.- Development-class R300 support in radeon driver (requires userland pieces, of course).- Mach64 driver (haven&apos;t tested in a while -- my mach64s no longer fit in the testbox). Covers Rage Pros, Rage Mobility P/M, Rage XL, and some others.- i915 driver files, which just need to get drm_drv.c fixed to allow attachment to the drmsub device. Covers i830 through i915 integrated graphics.- savage driver files, which should require minimal changes to work. Covers the Savage3D, Savage IX/MX, Savage 4, ProSavage.- Support for color and texture tiling and HyperZ features of Radeon. Thanks to:	scottl (much p4 handholding) Jung-uk Kim (helpful prodding)PR: [1] kern/76879, [2] kern/72548Submitted by:	[1] Alex, lesha at intercaf dot ru [2] Shaun Jurrens, shaun at shamz dot net
