        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-12.1/lib/libproc/libproc.h#5e53a4f9</link>
<description>lib: further adoption of SPDX licensing ID tags.Mainly focus on files that use BSD 2-Clause license, however the tool Iwas using mis-identified many licenses so this was mostly a manual - errorprone - task. The Software Package Data Exchange (SPDX) group provides a specificationto make it easier for automated tools to detect and summarize well knownopensource licenses. We are gradually adopting the specification, notingthat the tags are considered only advisory and do not, in any way, superceed or replace the license texts.

        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-12.1/lib/libproc/libproc.h#b043b5dc</link>
<description>libproc: Add support for some proc_attach() flags. This change adds some handling for the equivalent of Solaris&apos; PGRAB_*flags. In particular, support for PGRAB_RDONLY is needed to avoid anasty deadlock: dtrace(1) may otherwise stop the master process for itspseudo-terminal and end up blocking while writing to standard output.

        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-12.1/lib/libproc/libproc.h#d42df2a4</link>
<description>libproc: Match prefixes when looking up mapped object by name. When looking up an object by name, allow prefix matches if no direct matchis found. This allows one to, for example, match libc entry probes with: # dtrace -n &apos;pid$target:libc.so::entry&apos; -c ./fooinstead of requiring &quot;libc.so.7&quot; or a glob. Also remove proc_obj2map() as it currently just duplicates thefunctionality of proc_name2map(). It&apos;s supposed to take a Solarislink-map ID as a paramter, but support for this isn&apos;t implemented andisn&apos;t required to support DTrace&apos;s pid provider.

        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-12.1/lib/libproc/libproc.h#07a9c2e6</link>
<description>libproc: Cache ELF handles for loaded objects.libproc previously created a new handle for each symbol lookup, whichgives rather egregious performance for DTrace&apos;s ustack() action. Withthis change libproc will cache the libelf descriptor upon access, makinglookups much faster in the common case.

        <link>http://172.16.0.5:8080/history/freebsd-12.1/lib/libproc/libproc.h#41da933c</link>
<description>Hook up support for userland CTF support in DTrace. This required somemodifications to libproc to support fetching the CTF info for a given file. With this change, dtrace(1) is able to resolve type info for function andUSDT probe arguments, and function return values. In particular, the args[n]syntax should now work for referencing arguments of userland probes, provided that the requisite CTF info is available. The uctf tests pass if the test programs are compiled with CTF info. Thecurrent infrastructure around the DTrace test suite doesn&apos;t support thisyet.Differential Revision:	https://reviews.freebsd.org/D891MFC after: 1 monthRelnotes: yesSponsored by: EMC / Isilon Storage Division

<description>Add a process library with some stubs that the DTrace client needs. These will be fleshed out as part of the DTrace userland tracingdevelopment. For now, the kernel tracing part of DTrace requires minimal functionalityfor this library. The API for this library is deliberately different from the libproc inOpenSolaris due to licensing restrictions.
